If fans can believe it,Ted Lassois finally returning after three years.
AppleTVannounced on Tuesday morning that season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, Aug. 5, with a teaser video showing a glimpse of what all the characters are now up to.
Season 3 ended in May 2023 with Ted (Jason Sudeikis) resigning from AFC Richmond and returning to Kansas City to be closer to his young son, Henry (Gus Turner, who has been replaced with Grant Feely in season 4).
In the final scene, he seemed at peace coaching Henry’s soccer team, and not the Greyhounds.
But now, three years later, a new opportunity has lured him back across the pond.
"In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," AppleTV+ previouslyteasedin January 2026. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would."
It seemed game over forTed Lassoduring season 3.

Sudeikis, the show's co-creator, had always envisioned a three-season arc. But even as fans begged for him to continue Ted's journey, he wouldn't commit to a definitive answer.
"I hear people loud and clear," he toldEntertainment Weeklyin 2023. "I take it as a compliment, we all do, that people would want more. But the stories have to service that endeavor. It can't be the other way around. But this story is being told the way we had hoped and dreamed that it would be told and the fact that we got to do that is thrilling enough. But, yeah, I can't give you a definitive answer of if it were to come back and not set myself up to being called a liar."

Hannah Waddingham, who plays Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, made it clear she was game for a fourth season.
"Would I be open to a conversation about it? Always,"she told EWin 2023. "You know, once a Greyhound, always a Greyhound."
