Caleb Williams has a chance to return this week for the Chicago Bears, but it'll be another week without Lamar Jackson for the Baltimore Ravens.
Williams returned to practice this week as a full participant and is questionable to play against the Atlanta Falcons. He also informed the media that he was dealing with a torn hamstring, not a Grade 2 injury as was originally reported . The quarterback has missed three games since suffering the injury at the end of their Week 2 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings.
Before he can be officially cleared, Williams said he needed to undergo stress tests to assess where he's at before being declared good to go.
Meanwhile, Jackson was ruled out for another week as he deals with a left ankle injury.

"It's just a decision for his best interest," said head coach Jesse Minter. "That's really what every decision is going to be about."
Jackson suffered a left sprained ankle during Baltimore's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. He has not practiced in the past two weeks and sat out Sunday night's overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons.
Tyler Huntley, who threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns against the Falcons, will start once again as the Ravens take on the Cleveland Browns.
The injuries continue in Philadelphia with quarterback Jalen Hurts (blood clot) and running back Will Shipley (foot) already set to miss Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), who has missed the past two games, was back at practice on Friday without an injury designation, while running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring), who did not play last week, was ruled out.
It was reported that New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) was set to miss "multiple" weeks . But he practiced all three days this week, a boost for his availability. Head coach Mike Vrabel said a decision will be made on Saturday. For now, he is listed as questionable.
The 21-day practice window was opened this week for A.J. Brown (ankle), who has been out since Week 1. The Patriots wide receiver said it's "still up in the air" if he plays this week as he's been listed as questionable. The team has three weeks to activate him off injured reserve and return him to the 53-man roster.
Quinshon Judkins (ankle) was at practice on Friday after suffering an ankle injury against the Jets last week. The Cleveland Browns running back was spotted in a walking boot earlier this week, but head coach Todd Monken said it was just a precaution. He is listed as questionable.
Rashee Rice (hamstring) has been ruled out after missing practice this week due to hamstring and knee issues. Head coach Andy Reid also said tackle Josh Simmons (back) will also miss Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Bears opened Gordon's 21-day practice window on Oct. 1.
Blessed with NFL-caliber skills and QB-royalty bloodlines, Manning entered this season as the presumptive top QB prospect in what has been touted as a potentially great 2027 NFL Draft class at the position. But an uneven start to his 2026 season has NFL talent evaluators questioning what they're seeing — and whether Manning has made the kind of progress expected from a provisional No. 1 overall draft pick.
Two evaluators we spoke to were ambivalent about Manning as a prospect right now. Both see some of the same symptoms — late reads, not enough on-time throws, poor ball placement — and agree that the product has been slightly disappointing to this point, even if hope in Manning remains relatively high.
"He's athletic. He has the tools, but it's still coming together," one senior NFC evaluator said. "... Right now he's not ready, just as a complete prospect, of reading coverages, making good decisions and delivering accurate balls on a consistent basis. It's just not there. ... It's coming. You see the glimpses. He's tough. He's competitive. He uses his legs."

Porter's status was a surprise since he was a full participant in Thursday's session and expected to play Sunday. After missing the Cowboys' Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after becoming ill on gameday, Porter has appeared in only one game with Dallas since being traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
That has raised suspicions — especially from Steelers fans — that Porter might be essentially holding out until he gets a new contract, as he appeared to do with Pittsburgh when he was sidelined during training camp and the preseason, in addition to the first three games of the regular season.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked by Dallas' 105.3 The Fan if the team was concerned that Porter might be staying off the field until he gets a new deal.
"I think he's all in. He wants to be out there," Jones said, via The Athletic's Jon Machota . "He was sick, he couldn't play last week with the flu. But he obviously played in our first game and I think he's fired up about what he can do to help us win against the Packers."
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is being removed from the commissioner exempt list, the NFL announced Friday.
Jacobs had been placed on the list on Aug. 30 after a domestic abuse arrest last May. In Friday's statement, the league said that the investigation into Jacobs' arrest "remains ongoing and is not affected" by Jacobs being removed from the list.
Jacobs will be officially taken off the list on Monday. He will be eligible to make his season debut in Week 7, as the Packers take on the Detroit Lions on Oct. 25.
Jacobs was arrested in northern Wisconsin on May 26 and charged with multiple counts of domestic abuse. The charges stemmed from an incident three days prior, when Jacobs allegedly grabbed a woman trying to leave his garage and threw her to the ground.
Placing Hurts on injured reserve would force him to sit for at least four weeks. According to Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport , the team believes the blood clot is treatable as they seek additional medical opinions.
Tanner McKee, who has played six career NFL games since being drafted in 2023, will be the Eagles' starter against the Panthers on Sunday.

Brown from IR after 4-game absence Brown, 29, has been sidelined since sustaining a high-ankle sprain in the Patriots' season opener versus the Seattle Seahawks. He left New England's 13-10 loss in the third quarter, catching 3 passes for 26 yards, and was placed on injured reserve the next day.
Going on IR meant that Brown would have to sit out for the next four games. Thus, he was eligible to be activated this week. Brown was a limited participant in all three of the Patriots' practice sessions for the week and is listed as questionable for Sunday .
After missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Buffalo Bills receiver DJ Moore and defensive tackle Ed Oliver were limited participants on Friday.
Both players are listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Moore (shoulder) and Oliver (knee) each missed Week 5's win over the Rams . Oliver also missed the Bills' Week 2 game versus the Detroit Lions with a hip injury, while Moore appeared in Buffalo's previous four games.
Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren was a surprise addition to the team's injury report on Friday. After being a limited participant in practice, he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Tennessee Titans with a groin injury sustained during individual drills .
Warren, 24, leads AFC tight ends with 30 receptions (on 36 targets) for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was downgraded to questionable with an ankle injury for Sunday after being limited in Friday's practice session. He was a full participant on Thursday, which indicated that he would play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked by Dallas' 105.3 The Fan if the team was concerned that Porter might hold out until he gets a new contract, as he did with the Pittsburgh Steelers before being traded .
"I think he's all in. He wants to be out there," Jones said, via The Athletic's Jon Machota . "He was sick, he couldn't play last week with the flu. But he obviously played in our first game and I think he's fired up about what he can do to help us win against the Packers."
The Philadelphia Eagles will be without running back Saquon Barkley for the second straight week, but will get wide receiver DeVonta Smith back after a two-game absence.
Barkley will sit out against the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring injury. After exiting four snaps into Week 4, the running back sat out last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
Smith has not played since Week 3, missing the past two games with his own hamstring issue. He had no injury designation on the Friday injury report.
Smith took part in Friday's practice and told reporters afterward he felt "good" and that the decision on his availability for Sunday will be "up to the doctors."
Whether or not A.J. Brown will play for the New England Patriots in their Week 6 matchup versus the New York Jets is apparently a decision that will go right up to game time.
Brown is listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Sunday's matchup. He has missed the past four weeks with a high-ankle sprain that put him on injured reserve. But the veteran receiver became eligible to return this week.
Brown's pending return looked like a strong possibility when the Patriots placed receiver Mack Hollins on IR prior to Week 5's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Before going on IR, Hollins had the most catches among Patriots wide receivers with 15 for 209 yards.
The Patriots acquired Brown during the offseason from the Philadelphia Eagles, in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick and 2027 fifth-round selection.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was a full participant in practice for the third consecutive day. However, he is listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Week 6's matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Williams has missed the past three games with a hamstring injury suffered during Week 2 that he later confirmed was a tear. Yet the QB did not say how severe the injury was.
Running back Kyle Monangai is out for Sunday, as is linebacker T.J. Edwards. Defensive backs Kyler Gordon and Tyrique Stevenson Sr. are listed as questionable.
Los Angeles Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie sustained a groin injury during Thursday's practice session and will not participate on Friday.
As a result, he's questionable for Week 6's game versus the Arizona Cardinals, according to The Athletic's Nate Atkins .
In his first season with the Rams, McDuffie has 16 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 7 passes defended and 1 interception in 5 games.
Cleveland Browns rookie receiver KC Concepcion has cleared concussion protocol and will play in Week 6's matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens.
The rookie took a helmet-to-helmet hit from New York Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in Week 5's 17-12 defeat and left the game. He was soon diagnosed with a concussion. Fitzpatrick was subsequently fined an undisclosed amount by the NFL for the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Concepcion was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and was not listed on the Browns' final injury report for the week. He is tied for the team lead with 18 receptions (on 29 targets) for 149 yards.
Rice tweaked the hamstring in the opening quarter against the Raiders in Week 4. Simmons was back on the practice field this week for the first time since training camp.
"Just going to ease him back in," Reid said of Simmons earlier this week. "Ease him into practice, so he's going to practice, but it will be on a limited basis."
Smith has missed the past two weeks due to a hamstring injury. He returned to practice as a limited participant this week.
Love has been out of practice this week as he nurses an ankle injury that has been bothering him for several weeks.
Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur said that there are no plans to place the team's 2026 first-round pick on injured reserve.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for a second straight week due to an ankle injury, head coach Jesse Minter announced on Friday.
"It's just a decision for his best interest," Minter said. "That's really what every decision is going to be about.
