Duke lacrosse advances to Championship Weekend with dominant win over Georgetown

Dukelacrosse has advanced to Championship Weekend of the2026 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournamentwith a 16-6 win over Georgetown on May 17.

The Blue Devils (16-6) advanced behind three goals from Benn Johnston and 10 saves in goal from Buck Cunningham. Duke is now making its 15th semifinal appearance and 13th under head coach John Danowski. The Blue Devils opened the 2026 NCAA Tournament with a 14-12 win over No. 3 seed Richmond.

Duke will get Championship Weekend underway on Saturday, May 23, against No. 1 seed Princeton at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia. The winner will face the winner between Syracuse and Notre Dame on Monday, May 25, at 1 p.m. ET in the championship game.
