Video: A full dozen UFC Edmonton record-tying stoppages

About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The UFC returned to Canada on Saturday, and while it started out as a pretty rough night for local fighters, fans in Edmonton got a sickening amount of finishes to make up for it.

UFC Fight Night 291 at Rogers Place tied UFC Belgrade from August with a record 12 stoppages. At Belgrade, those dozen finishes came in 14 fights. But at UFC Edmonton, only one of the 13 bouts – the co-main event – went the distance.

Where UFC Fight Night 283 in Serbia has the advantage is in its record number of first-round finishes. An insane 10 of the 12 stoppages were first-rounders, which led to the lowest amount of fight time in modern UFC history for a card with double digit fights. At UFC Edmonton, only five of the 12 finishes came in the opening frame.

Check out all 12 of Saturday's finishes in the video above. Then weigh in below in our poll for which event had the better dirty dozen of KOs and subs.
